The band known as BioGenesis is a hybrid metal band from Dayton Ohio who first appeared on the scene in 2001 with their debut album “The Mark Bleeds Through” after signing with the Australian label “ROWE PRODUCTIONS”. BioGenesis unexpectedly dissolved in 2005 leaving fans disappointed that a greatly anticipated sophomore album would never see the light of day.
Then in 2009 the band returned, leading to the reunion album “The Rise The Fall The Rebirth” in 2012 after signing with SOUNDMASS. In 2013 SOUNDMASS released an earlier recording of the first album along with previously unreleased demo material called “The Mark Bleeds Through” “First Blood”.
BioGenesis remained very active until suddenly disbanding yet again in 2014. This time it had appeared to be permanent.
Then on new years eve 2015, BioGenesis announced another return. This time, with an all new lineup with guitarist James Riggs and Vocalist Chaz Bond as the only original members. It was also announced that a new album entitled “A Decadence Devine” is expected later on in 2016.
